Tour itinerary
Get picked up from Cochin Airport or Railway Station for your Kerala adventure. Wind along mountain roads, past rushing streams and around crazy curves as you drop down to lush valleys on your way to Simpson Park for some great camping fun. Pause for photo breaks at Cheeyappara and Valara Falls before driving on to Munnar. Check-in at your hotel, and the rest of the evening is free for you to be on your own, visit the market or just enjoy walking around mountains.
Post breakfast, take in a full day of sightseeing across Munnar. Eravikulam National Park is where you can spot rare Nilgiri Tahr and rolling meadows. Then travel to Mattupetty Dam to enjoy the scenic luster of the lake, Echo Point where gusty winds match with gurgling sound and Kundala Lake which offers tranquility through boat rides. After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady known for its spice plantations and Periyar Tiger Reserve. Upon arrival, after checking in to your hotel, you can take it easy. Later, take a boat safari on the Periyar Lake, home to elephants, bison and wild beautiful birds. In the evening, witness cultural programs like Kathakali dance or Kalaripayattu martial art that give a taste of Kerala’s traditions. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Post breakfast, drive down to Alleppey – Known as the Venice of the East. Embark on your private houseboat and navigate along serene canals hemmed in by palm trees, emerald paddy fields and sleepy villages. Enjoy a Kerala cuisine lunch on board the House Boat. Houseboats slow pace helps one to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the backwaters. Overnight stay on the houseboat.
Post breakfast on houseboat, get off from the houseboat and drive to Kovalam most popular beach town of Kerala. Check in to your beach hotel and enjoy the day at leisure. Later, continue to visit the Lighthouse Beach, Hawa Beach & Samudra Beach. Couples can romantically walk into the sunset, while families may gaze at seafood from the region. Alleppey is flanked by Kovalam, around 5 hour drive and you can choose to either return to Trivandrum or Cochin according to your flight set up.
