Encompassing Cochin, Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey, this itinerary combines a hill station called Munnar, wildlife sanctuary at Thekkady, spice plantation & house boat (overnight) ride in Kumarakom. It has the perfect balance of relaxation, cultural & wilderness, and is perfect for couples, families or small groups.

Commence your 5 Days Kerala Tour Package with Cochin Airport / Railway station receiving you. Explore the rolling hills, waterfalls such as Valara and Cheeyappara, and spice plantations on your drive by private cab. Arrive in Munnar and check-in to your hotel. The evening is free to enjoy the area in and around Mussorie, and visit the local market. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Post breakfast you may go for a full day (Munnar sightseeing). Head to Eravikulam National Park for a sighting of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and stunning views of tea gardens. Proceed to Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point and Kundala Lake. The Tea Museum invites you to learn about Kerala’s tea legacy. The evening is free to relax or for shopping. Overnight stay in Munnar.

After breakfast checkout and proceed to Thekkady known for spice plantations and Wildlife sanctuary. Visit Periyar Lake for an hour or so to catch a glimpse of elephants, deer and different birds after checking in at your resort. Later, visit spice plantations with a guide. In the evenings, catch a performance of something like Kathakali or Kalaripayattu. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Post breakfast, drive to Alleppey, known as the ‘heart of Kerala’s backwaters’. Enter your private houseboat to relax and cruise the quiet canals with paddy fields, little homes on small islands. Savor hot and tasty kerala cuisine, as here’s another look at the tranquil landscape. The serenity and solitude found here is incomparable. Overnight stay at a houseboat in Alleppey.

On The Last Day of your Kerala 5 Days Trip, enjoy breakfast in the houseboat as a complimentary checkout. Travel times play a big factor in this journey. Cochin to Munnar is a 4.5-5 hour drive depending on traffic and number of stops. Munnar to Thekkady takes about 3.5 hours Time required and time taken from Thekkady to Alleppey is approximately 4 hours. The drive back from Alapey to Cochin is around 2 Hrs. How long does it take to drive from?Knowing these times can help you pace your day and prepare for those beautiful, but lengthy drives.

The houseboat offered by us in Alleppey is a deluxe or premium private boat and it will be selected by you depending on your package. It has air-conditioned bedrooms, an attached bathroom and a living space. Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast served will be Kerala style and freshly cooked on board. It’s a totally private experience, with the crew taking care of navigating and meals as you simply relax on quiet backwaters.

Yes, there are optional guided activities to further enrich your experience. In Thekkady, take a guided walk through a spice plantation to discover how cardamom, pepper and cinnamon are cultivated. Q5. What should travelers pack specifically for the Kerala 5 Days Itinerary?

What to bring with you: Day 1 clothes of light cotton, warm clothing as the evening in Munnar is relatively cold, walking shoes for sightseeing. We do recommend sunscreen, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle. For monsoon, one should keep a light raincoat or an umbrella while visiting Sikkim. Don’t forget swimwear if your hotel has a pool, or if you’re planning a canoe expedition.

Package Exclusions

The package does not include airfare, train tickets and other long distance journey to&from Cochin.

Lunch, dinner and late night snack at hotels/ outside not included in the package (except where specifically mentioned as included).

Tickets for gate entry Eravikulam National Park (Raja Malai), Tea Museum or Heritage hall must be obtained directly by the guests.

Any optional activities like Elephant Rides, Jeep Safaris, Canoeing etc are all at an extra cost.

All expenses of personal nature such as laundry, tips, room service extras or shopping orders are excluded.
