The first myth about it is the origin of this land. It says about that it was created by the legendry reincarnation of Vishnu, Parasurama. A very interesting story shared for hundreds of years by many generations .For many , it is something very real . After all, for a land and its people very religious ,it cannot be but truth itself .
Likewise ,the festivals celebrated here are getting legendary proportions . The harvest festivals .Vishu and Onam are the prominent ones celebrations by all keralites irrespective of their belief system .
 
It is the time for assembling and sharing . In the present world ,festivals of this kind deserve more and more role and attention .It teaches us the importance of unity and togetherness .The activities like boat race , pageantry shows, onam sadhya etc. bring together the people who normally live in their own worlds. so, let us remind the coming generations of the importance of the festivals like this .
