Starting from Kanyakumari ,the southern most tip of India or the land end of India in the south to Kazargod the north -west end of Kerala it spreads .
In between , this land is enriched beautified with hills and mountains in the north- east and south – east , valleys and backwaters in the middle and beautiful coastal area along the Arabian sea cost .
The tourism destinations covering these hills, backwaters, and beaches make this land a tourism hub for all seasons. The mesmerising hill stations like Munnar, Thekkady, Vagamon, Ramakkalmedu, Wayanad, etc., the enchanting backwaters surrounding Ernakulam, Kottayam, Alappey, and Kollam districts, and beautiful beaches like Kovalam, Varkala,Varkala Muzhippilangadi drive-in beach, etc. are the tourism destinations enjoyed by both domestic and foreign tourists alike.
Normally, a tourist arrives in Cochin either by train, flight, or ship. From these, after a short stay, he moves to the hill station of Munnar. There are plenty of sightseeing opportunities at this station; he stays there overnight and for two days or more, then moves to either Vagamon or Thekkady to enjoy the beauty of nature at its best, then drives down to the backwaters to enjoy a houseboat overnight cruise or a stay at a resort by the lake.
